A video editor for fitness coaches, running on your Mac. Drop a long video — a podcast, a stream, a lecture, a 4K talking-head — and ask in a sentence: "the moment she talks about coming home, thirty seconds, captions in my style." Memdoor transcribes it on your machine, reads the whole transcript before choosing, cuts the clip, tightens it, captions it word by word (Arabic, Latin, Cyrillic, CJK), keeps the speaker in frame in 9:16, and plays the result in the window. Every step reports what it measured — seconds cut, transcript lines covered, file written — not what it claims.

Read the script first: /install.sh (plain shell, SHA-256-verified, installs to ~/.local/bin/memdoor — no sudo). memdoor clip setup fetches the brain, the ears (speech recognition), the caption font, and checks ffmpeg. Then cd to the folder with your video and run memdoor tui --app.

What it does today

• Transcribe a video of any length on your Mac, word by word with timestamps.
• Find a moment from a description ("where he explains the leak", "the most emotional 20–40 seconds") and say why it chose it.
• Cut exactly, never mid-sentence; tighten (remove fillers, repeats, dead air); caption karaoke-style; reframe to 9:16 following the face; pick a thumbnail; stitch segments into a summary reel.
• Show every result inline, with its measured duration and size.
